Wigan Athletic are delighted to announce that the club has agreed a new shirt sponsorship deal with major international sports retail brand Intersport.
The Latics first team home and away strip will carry the Intersport logo for the 2014-15 season, which will be worn for the first time by the team at tomorrow’s pre-season friendly against Turkish side Besiktas at the DW Stadium and for every match subsequently.
Intersport have over 5,500 stores in 43 countries worldwide and have become a huge name in sports retail over the past six decades. Intersport are also the current shirt sponsors of French giants Olympique De Marseille and Latics Chief Executive Jonathan Jackson is delighted to be able to join forces with such a major global brand.
“Intersport are a very prestigious name and we are proud to become associated with them,” he said.
“It also demonstrates Wigan Athletic can continue to attract partners of this calibre for what is our major sponsorship opportunity on the front of the team shirt, seen by millions of supporters during the course of the season. We are all looking forward to having a fruitful relationship moving forwards.”

The Official Wigan Athletic website will be the first place to see the new 2014-15 Home strip, along with the Intersport logo, when it is revealed fully tomorrow morning Tuesday 15 July, from 6.00am, along with on-sale dates and pricelist.
