Martyn Waghorn looking to 'crack on' after completing permanent move to Latics.

After putting pen to paper on a three-year-deal with Wigan Athletic, Martyn Waghorn said he was delighted to have settled his future and insisted it's time to keep on going and achieve his and Latics aims for the season.

"It’s always nice to get it done and dusted," Waghorn told Latics Player.

"We’ve been in talks for the last few weeks about getting it tied down earlier so we can look forward to the start of next season.

"I’m glad it’s done so I can get settled and crack on."

Spurred on by the successes of the team since his arrival on transfer deadline day in January, Waghorn added:

"It’s good to come to a club that is doing well as a successful team, it’s a good group of lads, we’re pushing for promotion and I’m happy to be contributing.

"It’s a good set of lads; it’s a good mix of young and old and there’s a good bit of banter and obviously the success we’re having on the pitch helps and the performances we’re putting in are showing the the togetherness that we’ve got.

"It’s nice that I’m enjoying it and that I’ve settled down quite quickly so hopefully I can reward that on the pitch."
