Tim Chow, Ryan Jennings and Guillermo Andres were all on the score sheet as Wigan Athletic defeated Shrewsbury Town 3-0 at Christopher Park, with Shaun Maloney and Gary Caldwell both playing 76 minutes.

Three goals in the second half saw Latics maintain their league leading position, as a chip from Tim Chow, penalty from Ryan Jennings and a cool finish from substitute Guillermo Andres saw Latics wrap up a comfortable three points at home to Shrewsbury Town.
In their fights for recovery both Shaun Maloney and Gary Caldwell featured for the second consecutive Development Squad game, playing 76 minutes.
The opening 45 minutes passed by with rare incident, but Latics asserted themselves well despite being faced with a stiff wind.
Jennings and Maloney provided most of the danger with their quick feet and quick thinking, but set piece expert Maloney came closest to goal when he curled a free kick around the wall from 30 yards, only for Callum Burton to tip the effort wide.
Latics remained solid at the back as they pushed for the opening goal, with Michael Wilson turning in a good performance alongside the experience of Caldwell and Markus Holgersson.
Caldwell and Maloney both came out for the second half signifying more playing time than in their appearances during last week's 1-0 victory over Morecambe.
As the game closed in on the hour mark, Latics' pressure finally paid off and with a forceful run through the centre, Tim Chow brushed off two challenges before clipping the ball over Burton who rushed off his line, a delicate finish to contrast a robust piece of individual strength.
Shrewsbury, as expected, battled to pull level moments after the opening goal, but their desperation to equalise cost them, when Jennings was tripped in the penalty area as the visitors tried to clear and counter.
Jennings coolly stepped up to the spot, sending Burton the wrong way and slotting the ball into the bottom left corner.
More and more chances followed, with Wilson heading over the bar from a corner as he stooped at the right post with just minutes remaining.
A third goal did eventually come when Guillermo Andres, who replaced Jack Phillips, remained alert enough to smash home from a tight angle down the right side, after Jennings saw his shot parried to the Spanish striker.
With three goals and three points in the bag, Latics now sit top of the Final Third Development League on 25 points with three games to play.
