Preview

Top of the league Latics play host to third place Port Vale, with the hope of claiming a double against the young Valiants having won the reverse fixture 2-0 back in August.

Latics head into the game off the back of a 2-1 victory against Carlisle United last week at Robin Park Arena in the Final Third Development League Cup group stage, and will be hoping to keep up their impressive form this season of just two defeats in all competitions.

The game was originally scheduled to be played at Robin Park Arena, however there has been a change of venue to Christopher Park.
