Match Preview

Saturday 11 May 2013 will live long in the memory of all Wigan Athletic supporters as the greatest day in the club's history and this time last year as the club were preparing to face AFC Bournemouth at the third round stage of the competition, few would have predicted that Latics would go on to win the competition - so are you are you ready to do it again?

The defence of the FA Cup with Budweiser begins with the visit of League One side MK Dons to the DW Stadium this Saturday.

Head to Head

Latics have never met MK Dons before but the visitors are a side that manager Uwe Rosler knows well from his time as Bretford manager since taking the Brentford job in June 2011 he has faced them five times winning two, drawing two and losing just the one.

Team News

Manager Uwe Rosler is expected to make a number of changes from the side that defeated Derby County on New Year's Day as he continues his rotational policy.  "It's nothing to do with disrespecting the competition," said the manager "it's to make sure that everybody has a chance to show themselves and to impress and to contribute to our success."

For the visitors Antony Kay and Dele Alli both come into the side.  Kay hasn't started since undergoing hip surgery back in September but the 30-year-old centre-back looks set for a return alongside Shaun Williams.

Alli, who has also been battling an injury problem, has been forced to start from the bench over the last couple of weeks but he could replace Dale Jennings, after the winger returned to parent club Barnsley.

Dons manager Karl Robinson also hinted that talisman Luke Chadwick could be set for a return to the squad following a foot injury. Chadwick hasn't featured for the Dons since November but there is a possibility the former Manchester United man could travel with the squad and take up a place on the bench.

If Chadwick is involved that would leave winger Dean Bowditch as Robinson’s only injury concern.
