WIGAN ATHLETIC CHRISTMAS VISITS

Wigan Athletic players and staff go out across the area to spread some Christmas cheer.

The Wigan Athletic squad and manager Uwe Rosler have been out around the local area spreading Christmas cheer over the past week.

Player split up into groups to visit children and young people, answering questions, signing autographs and giving out gifts ahead of Christmas Day.

Jean Beausejour, James Perch and Leon Barnett visited Hope School in Marus Bridge, with Chris McCann, Stephen Crainey, Grant Holt and James McArthur giving out presents at the Rainbow Children's Ward at Wigan Infirmary.

Another school visit saw Nick Powell, Will Keane, Marc-Antoine Fortune, Ryan Shotton and Danny Redmond visit Willow Grove in Ashton, while Ben Watson, Thomas Rogne, Ivan Ramis and Mike Pollitt spent the afternoon at Midstream in Skelmersdale.

Back at DW Stadium HQ, FA Cup heroes Callum McManaman, Roger Espinoza, Jordi Gomez and Ali Al Habsi met supporters in the Players' Lounge next to the Club Shop to sign autographs and give out calendars to local school children.

On Monday 23 Uwe Rosler rounded off the festivities in the South Stand at the stadium, when he met guests of the Team Latics Christmas Party and also signed copies of his book 'Knocking Down Walls'.
