Match Preview

Wigan Athletic travel to South London looking to end a run of four straight defeats including three loses at the DW Stadium and the 2-0 reverse at Elland Road on Wednesday night.

Millwall come into Saturday's match with just one win from the last eight although there are some very credible draws in there against Nottingham Forest, Burnley, Reading and QPR.

Millwall's defence is perhaps their biggest problem having jointly (with Barnsley) conceded the most goals (36)  in the Championship so far this season, twice as many as Latics.   However Wigan Athletic would need to improved their tally of away goals to add to that stats as Latics have only scored one away goal since the 4-0 win at Barnsley on the opening day of the season.

Team News

Gary Caldwell and Ali Al Habsi have been continued to step up their recovery this week although neither are expected to be available for Saturday.  Scott Carson returned to take his place in goal against Leeds United in midweek and suffered no ill effects on his return.
