Kiernan makes Southend debut as Mustoe and Bingham continue to feature at Bury and Falkirk.

After completing a three-month loan switch to Roots Hall, Development Squad defender Rob Kiernan made his Southend United debut on the road at his former loan club Burton Albion.

The Shrimpers kept a clean sheet and grabbed a last gasp winner to move them up to 10th in League Two, with Kiernan featuring for 85 minutes to keep his old team mates at bay.

Left-sider Jordan Mustoe was also up against one of his former loan clubs as he and Bury welcomed Morecambe to Gigg Lane, but they couldn't stop Jim Bentley's men as Morecambe claimed a 2-0 victory.

It was Mustoe's second consecutive 90 minutes for the Shakers, after making his debut a week earlier in a 0-0 draw at home to Newport County.

In the Scottish Championship, Rakish Bingham continued his development, making his sixth substitute appearance in the league for Falkirk as they drew 0-0 away to Alloa.

Third place Falkirk were in search of a crucial winning goal and Bingham almost provided an assist when his shot across the face of goal saw Phil Roberts come inches away from turning the ball in at the back post.
