Match Preview

We may be three weeks into the new season but today will feel like the opening weekend for many Latics fans who have had to wait until now to see their new look team on home soil.

Doncaster Rovers have played all of their games at home so far this season while Latics fans have endured three consecutive games away from home clocking up over 1000 miles.

Wigan Athletic will be looking to bounce straight back from Saturday's shock defeat to Bournemouth at the Goldsands Stadium with a win over Paul Dickov's Doncaster Rovers.

Rovers on the other hand are full of confidence after their impressive win over Blackburn Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday night.

Team News

Wigan Athletic will be without the services of Callum McManaman after his dismissal at Bournemouth on Saturday, the winger will also miss the visits of Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest.  Ali Al Habsi (shoulder), Thomas Rogne (back), Gary Caldwell (hip) and Ivan Ramis (knee) all remain in the treatment room.

Doncaster hope to welcome back South African midfielder Dean Furman from international duty.
However, midfielders Harry Forrester and Marc De Val Fernandez are likely to miss out once again.
