Having been involved in the FA Community Shield last weekend, Latics are already playing catch up in the Championship having played only their opening day game at Barnsley, and it will be that kind of form that Owen Coyle's side will be looking to take to the South coast to face Bournemouth who are looking to put last week's 6-1 defeat at Watford behind them - a team they will have to play again on 28 August in the Captial One Cup.
Eddie Howe's team proved to be tough opposition for Latics in last season's FA Cup success, where it took a world class strike from Mauro Boselli in the replay to separate the teams. Manager Owen Coyle believes it will be just as tough on Saturday.
"We know we’re in for another difficult game on Saturday and we have to be ready to produce a performance the likes of which we saw at Oakwell two weeks ago.
“I believe we’ve had the toughest start to the season of any team in the division, starting with two away games against very tough sides. If we can get through this weekend’s game and come away with another win then we’ll have three home games to look forward to on the other side so there’s a lot riding on this one.”

Owen Coyle has said he will only being assessing his internationals players on Friday ahead of the game, although all are expected to be available. Thomas Rogne is unlikely to feature as he continues to recover form the back injury he picked up in the pre-season friendly with Dundee Utd. Meanwhile Gary Caldwell and Ivan Ramis are also still unavailable.
