The next Fit Fans men’s health programmes start at the end of May.

The 12 week scheme gives men over the 25 the chance to play football and sport every week with coaches from Wigan Athletic Community Trust.

As well as getting the chance to play sport participants on the programme are given help and advice on issues such as weight management, healthy eating, how to make physical activity part of your everyday life and how to give up smoking.

Since the scheme began last September 35 men have completed the programme with each of them being given their own Latics shirt.

Sessions:

Tuesday May 28th: Abraham Guest Academy, Greenhey, Wigan, WN5 0DQ

Thursday June 6th: Howe Bridge Sports Centre, Eckersley Fold Lane Atherton, M46 0PJ

The Community Trust also runs taster sessions at Abraham Guest Academy every Wednesday between 5.45pm – 6.45pm.
