Taking place on Saturday June 15th at Robin Park the tournament costs just £12 per team to enter with the chance to win a behind the scenes tour of the Christopher Park Training ground at the start of next season.
Open to the men over the age of 25 the event will kick off at 12pm with activities for all the family including free football and sports coaching for kids.
Latics boss Roberto Martinez said: “The Wigan Masters Tournament is a great way for people to return to playing football. I would encourage as many Wigan men as possible to form a team, whether with friends or work mates, and get involved. We look forward to seeing the winners at the Training Ground.”
The tournament will be for 6-a-side teams with a maximum of 9 in each squad. Matches will last for 10 minutes and every player will be given a free snack after the competition.
The tournament is aimed at inspiring men in Wigan Borough to get fitter, stronger and more mobile and is being organised in partnership with the Trim Down Shape Up men’s health project and Wigan and Leisure Culture Trust.
