Latics fell behind to first half goals from Ollie Lee and James Fry, before a third 10 minutes after the restart from Eddy Gnahore put the game beyond them.

Graham Barrow's team started the game strongly with chances for Rakish Bingham and Steven Boothman who both shot narrowly wide.

Birmingham opened the scoring on 23 minutes when a ball across the box from Koby Arthur was turned in right footed by an unmarked Lee.

Three minutes later Marko Marosi made sure the hosts didn't double their lead when he tipped Scott Hogan's low shot around his left hand post.

On 35 minutes Birmingham managed to get their second when Fry leaped unmarked from a corner kick to head home.

Ten minutes after the restart a counter attack finished off the scoring as Eddy Gnahore ran through one-on-one with Marosi and lifted the ball around him.

Latics put up a fight as the second half went on but, it took until the 92nd minute for them to come closest when Joey Johnson rattled the cross bar from close range.
