Today we were down at the DW Stadium ticket office to catch up with supporters who queued up to get their hands on tickets for the FA Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on May 11.
Wigan Athletic would like to thank all of those who purchased tickets today both in person and online.
The club would also like to thank all of the ticket office staff for their hard work and excellent effort to ensure the smooth running of sales.
The first fans started to queue yesterday evening, with more joining during the early hours of Sunday morning to camp out in order to get the seats they wanted for the final.
One fan Danny Craven joined the queue during the early hours of the morning but didn't mind as he just wanted to get his hands on his ticket:
"We turned up in the dark and there were people camping with tents and barbecues.
"It was a great atmosphere and it's worth it because it's Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup final.
"Two of the girls I was waiting with had gone to the West Ham game during the day on Saturday and went straight to the stadium to queue when they got back."
We spoke to another supporter Simon Taylor just after he had bought his ticket.
"We got to the stadium at 4.30am and the queue was already starting down the East stand.
"I got a Tweet at 4.00am saying it was getting quite busy and I thought it was a joke, it just shows what a buzz the FA Cup has created among the fans."
Speaking of Twitter, plenty of fans continued the #wafcwembley which we started in the week running up to the semi final and below are a selection of those.
