Fans snap up a third of allocation in first day of sales

Wigan Athletic would like to thank all supporters who queued for FA Cup semi-final tickets today for their patience and place on record our thanks to all the ticket office and stadium staff who worked hard to ensure that everybody who turned up today got their tickets by the end of the day.

Just under 10,000 tickets have been sold so far, and Chief Executive Jonathan Jackson was delighted with the first day of sales saying:

"It was great to see the fans turn out in such numbers for tickets today, especially given the freezing cold conditions.

"Everybody was in great spirits and you could clearly sense the excitement ahead of what will be an historic day at Wembley in three weeks time.

"I'd like to thank everybody who bought tickets today for their patience as well as all the staff at the ticket office who worked hard to ensure that supporters got their tickets as quickly as possible."

Tickets are still available for game against Millwall on Saturday 13 April.  For full details of prices and selling information, please click here.
