Defender moves to Brunton Park until the end of the season.

Jordan Mustoe has joined League One side Carlisle United on loan until the end of the season, linking up with former Wigan Athletic midfielder Graham Kavanagh who is assistant manager for the Cumbrians.

It is Mustoe's second loan move of the season, having spent three months at League Two outfit Morecambe in 2012, making 12 appearances for the Shrimps and scoring on his debut against Preston North End.

After returning to Latics in January the 22-year-old made his first appearance of the season for the club as a late substitute in the FA Cup third round replay against AFC Bournemouth, before playing 90 minutes in the following round against Macclesfield Town.

Mustoe will be eligable for Carlisle's match against MK Dons at Brunton Park, staying with the club until the end of April, when their season ends.
