Wigan Athletic Under 21 stars Tim Chow and Rakish Bingham joined coaches from Latics in the Community this week at a Soccer School for 30 youngsters.
With their first team counterparts away on warm weather training in Tenerife, Tim and Rakish were happy to step in and visit the football course at Abraham Guest Academy.
Tim and Rakish helped put the young people through a series of coaching drills as well as signing autographs and answering questions about life as professional players.
Midfielder Tim who has been at the Latics since he was 10 years old said: “It was great visiting the Soccer School and seeing how pleased the kids were to see us.
“They were having a great time and were obviously learning a lot from the coaches, so me and Rakish we’re happy to help out.”
Each day up to 100 young people between the ages of 6-14 took part in coaching with Wigan Athletic Community Trust during February Half Term.
Sessions were organised at four different venues across Wigan with prices ranging from £5 a day to £15, depending on the length and type of course.
As well as meeting Tim and Rakish, four lucky young people from the Soccer School at Abraham Guest also won the chance to meet Latics boss Roberto Martinez and the first team squad before the Club’s home game against Newcastle United on Sunday March 17th,
