David Jones' last appearance for Wigan Athletic came as a second half substitute in the 1-0 FA Cup fourth round win against Macclesfield Town.
He returned to the team on that day after picking up a knock at the DW Stadium in the previous round against AFC Bournemouth and now insists he is back to full fitness.
"I’m back to 100 per cent now and raring to go.
"I had a bit of tightness down the side of my knee over the Christmas period but that's behind me now.
"I’m eager to get back in there now, I’ve been on the bench and I’m waiting for my chance to get back involved.
"I managed to get a few games under my belt earlier in the season, I really enjoyed it and I definitely feel I’ve still got something to offer."
With Chelsea coming up in the Barclays Premier League at the weekend, Jones is excited to earn his place.
"Everyone’s looking forward to the Chelsea game.
"We’ve got a few lads away on international duty and that might lead to some changes, so the rest of us have to be ready.
"Hopefully a good week’s training will put me in contention and we’ll see what happens."
