Roman Golobart made his Wigan Athletic debut in the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth at the DW Stadium and turns his focus to facing the Cherries again tomorrow at Dean Court.
“It was great to make my Wigan Athletic debut and it was certainly a testing game to play in.
“I got a good response from the fans which made me feel confident and I know how much it means to them that we win, because at the end of the day they are the most important thing in our minds.
“Bournemouth will once again prove a difficult test but it is important that we turn that challenge into a victory.
“The way we performed in the second half of that game is the way we need to perform tomorrow night.”
Golobart had mixed feelings about drawing the original fixture but says he can see the benefits.
“At first it was disappointing to draw but on the other hand it gives me and some of the other young players a chance to play at a very competitive level.
“We have an extra incentive tomorrow because if we beat Bournemouth then we get the chance to go and play Macclesfield Town which I’m hoping will be another chance for me to play.
“If we can do what we are determined to do and get past Bournemouth then Macclesfield away would be an incredible game for our fans to go to but, I have to stress how important it is to be 100% focused on tomorrow’s game because Bournemouth are going to be ready for us.”
