Six winners of the Latics Community Match Day Lottery enjoyed an early Christmas present this week when they were given an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the DW Stadium and the Christopher Park Training Ground.
As well as visiting both sites the winners also got the chance to meet Club manager Roberto Martinez before watching his first team squad prepare for the game against Arsenal.
Alan Cowie, who took his grandson Rhys on the tour said: “We had an excellent day at Christopher Park and later at the DW Stadium. Roberto and the players were brilliant. Everyone demonstrated that they are real ambassadors for the community.”
Tickets for the match day lottery cost just £1 with proceeds from sales going to Wigan Athletic Community Trust.
