James McCarthy was the man making the headlines for Latics at the weekend, scoring his first goals for the club since February 2011.
But whilst the Republic of Ireland international was delighted to be back in the goals once more, he was quick to acknowledge the role played by Jean Beausejour who was pivotal in both goals.
"Jean has been brilliant since he's been at the club, his delivery is different class. He's created so many goals since he's been at the club, and is a massive player for us,” said McCarthy.
"They’ve (the goals) been a very long time coming - too long - but it was nice to get back on the scoresheet.
"But I didn't really feel like celebrating much because we've drawn a game we should have won and I'd have traded both goals for the three points.
"The way we fought back though shows we've got good character at the club and we're definitely going in the right direction.
"It gives us something to build on now going into the Norwich game, and hopefully we can kick on into the festive period.
