Mauro Boselli has been prolific in front of goal in rounds two and three of the Capital One Cup and has also been racking up his fair share in recent Under 21s games, with a tally of five goals in three games.
The Argentinian wants more on his record and believes scoring in the cup is a great way to help the team.
“It is always important for a striker to score goals and it makes me very happy that I have got three in the Capital One Cup so far.
“It has been good to build up my confidence and playing games makes me feel better because I love to play football.
“I am very happy that we won in the last round and the most important thing was that the team played very well against West Ham who are a good team.”
With Latics hosting Bradford City in the Club’s first home cup tie since February 2010, Boselli wants to see momentum in the squad to carry the side through to the quarter finals.
“We have to keep working hard now that we have started so well in the cup.
“We have a very good squad and the cup competitions are a great way to show ourselves off to the manager and fight for a place every week.
“It will be great to play at home in front of our fans in the cup because they have had to travel quite far already to support us in the competition and we feel we owe them a very good performance and result.”
The Capital One Cup fourth round tie against Bradford kicks off at 7.45pm this evening.
Tickets are available on the night from both the West and East stand ticket offices for HOME fans only, who have had previous booking history with the Club.
