Di Santo’s three goals in seven league games this season is a similar record to the start of last season and the Argentinian striker is hopeful of carrying on his fine form.
“I am in good form at the moment but I’m doing nothing differently from what I always do because my main aim is to do the best for the team.
“At the start of last season I had a similar scoring rate but then I got an injury and had three months out, which is something I hope doesn't happen this season so then I can help the team with goals.
“The most important thing overall though isn't my goal scoring tally, it is whether the team wins or not.”
Half of his team-mates are in action tonight and have been away all week with their respective countries but, Di Santo and the rest of the squad have been working hard to turn performances into results.
“We were leading against Stoke and most recently Everton which perhaps we should have an extra four points from which would have us in ninth in the league.
“Maybe we need to focus more in the last few minutes of games because for the rest of the matches we have been good and maybe not had those bits of luck that can sometimes edge games in our favour.
“It is nothing to worry about though because hard work will sort that out.
“Everyone believes in the aims that we have and we will continue to show that on the pitch.”
