One thing you are guaranteed to see at Christopher Park in the morning is the beaming grin of Franco di Santo.
The Argentinian is bang in form with two goals in three games and has every reason to be happy but his reason to be joyful is more a reflection of his character and personality.
“My family have always tried to make me a positive person and start every day with a smile.
“Some days you can be having a bad day but you have to look forward to good things.
“This is why I try to smile to everyone because if you are smiling and happy it can make everyone else around you happy, like a domino effect.
“Sometimes of course when you have lost a game at the weekend it is hard to be positive but, in myself I just think we need to go out and win the next one and then the previous game doesn’t matter too much.”
After taking to Twitter during the summer, Di Santo has received plenty of supportive messages, another factor in his happiness at the club.
“I get a lot of support on Twitter from the fans.
“You can also show them what you are doing and that you are just a normal person at the end of the day.
“I always get messages before games and it is great to see that because it makes you feel more confident.”
With Manchester United coming up at the weekend, the support behind Di Santo is likely to spur him on, he said.
“You feel the power of the support especially when people are saying well done for scoring a goal or well done for winning.”
“Scoring is obviously important for me but if I don’t score and the team win then I am happy.
“As long as I give my best and help the team in anyway and we get that positive result then it is good.”
