Increasing opportunities for young people and families to be involved with Wigan Athletic – from playing and coaching to watching and supporting.
Every week Wigan Athletic Community Trust’s team of qualified football and sports coaches provide top quality training sessions for 100’s of young people in and out of school.
From helping primary schools to deliver their PE lessons to running After School Club’s and disability football sessions, the Community Trust provides football and sports opportunities for young people whatever their abilities.
The Trust work with Wigan Youth Zone to provide evening football coaching every week, run weekly 5-a-side leagues, organise weekend football festivals and six weeks of school holiday football camps per year, as well as helping young people and volunteers to gain sports qualifications.
Specific girls football sessions run every week, providing opportunities for female players to be referred to Wigan Athletic Ladies Football Club.
Every school holiday, football and dance courses are available for both boys and girls for just £7 per day.
As well as providing football coaching, as part of the Premier League 4 Sport scheme, Wigan Athletic Community Trust runs coaching sessions in athletics, badminton, basketball, hockey, netball, table tennis, tennis and volleyball at venues across Wigan.
